Welcome!

The Online Master’s Degree in Special Education is a fully online degree offered through the Special Education Program in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies, part of the College of Education.

This degree program provides a strong academic foundation in the principles of special education and offers students the foundational knowledge and skills needed to work with children and adults with disabilities.

The program requires 36 units of study and culminates in a Master’s Project rather than a thesis. The sequence of study includes a core of required courses as well as an elective specialization area that more fully explores specific disabilities.

The Online Master’s Degree in Special Education does not provide teacher certification.
